Edwardian Wagons

Why limit myself to two forums when I can have three? I thought I'd share some early 20th century British goods wagons I've been working on.

With an eventual goal of modelling the North London Railway in 1903 I've been building some appropriate wagons. Some of them were built as EM originally, but they'll all end up P4 eventually.

I've got an LCDR open wagon that still needs lettering and the insides painting:

One of Bill Bedford's LNWR D1s and a London Road Models NLR brake van:

A short EM/P4 train posed on Empire Mills:

And the initial box for what will eventually be a GER D16 open wagon:

A typical private owner coal wagon, 8 ton capacity, probably built in the 1880s.

Nice job! I find those super-shorty British wagons so darn cute!
The track detailing is superb too.

If you think the trackwork on Empire Mills looks good in the photos, you should see it in person!
Some of the best looking trackwork I've ever laid eyes on.

Thanks guys. I've got a few more pictures of the layout for you. I've just moved back to the US, so I'll be starting my own layout at some point. I'll document it here when that happens.

I've progressed two more wagons to a point that they're worth sharing.

London & North Western D14 Deal wagon from London Road Models. Still need to do the brakes and other details.

Great Central D1 2 plank wagon from Mousa Models. Just needs paint and lettering.

Been a while since I posted anything here.

I've finished the North London brake van:

And I've built a kit for a London & North Western box van. It was a very easy kit to build, only a couple hours in total.
All the parts:

Assembled:

Finished:

I also finished the deal wagon from the previous post:
