NWC: NS E.H. 86' Auto parts Boxcar

Ok so I am going to start out with a N scale Trainworx NS 86' Auto Parts Boxcar # 657455.

So here is the stock version, don't mind the color, the car isn't that dark... My phone is not picking up the true color...


So first thing I did is swap the trucks for BLMA 100t trucks and McHenry couplers (don't argue, I like how they look.)


Ok since Mr. Mann, wants us to ask questions, I do have one, as I picked this car just because of how NS logo looks...
So how on earth do you guys pull that whole peeling lettering look using basic items?
