I will add my 2 cents worth by saying that I too have a set or two (do not remember, you know the second thing in life to go bye bye) of Shneider and some ATSF. They have run on several N TRAK module layouts and you most likely know what that can amount to. They have performed flawlessly.
Enjoy them and my advise would be do not tinker with them. They were made to run well and they do.
