... and she wouldn't give it to me.Never noticed your sig line before, classic. One of my favs. Peace
just need to have a few answers to some questionsdo not wish to hijack thread or take it in a different directionin response to @bbussey and the information he graciouslyprovide (thank you!):1. am I correct in understanding that the sound in K4 is operational in DC (not just DCC)?2. if that is correct, am I understanding correctly that in DC all settings are to a default and can only be changed on a programming track using DCC?3. any suggestions, be all this correct, on how one approaches a LHS to use their programming track? I did not purchase my 2 K-4s @ a LHSas they were quoting a much higher price than the ~250.00 that included shippingthanks in advance to any informationsincerely--Garyp.s.: I am more than delighted with my K-4s!
What's all this sunshine and flowers? Where's the ranting and raving? There must be a rivet line or boiler contour off somewhere on this loco to warrant a firestorm of criticism! No matter what our opinions, I think we can all agree that nobody on this site no longer has to use as sig line or lament about "wanting a K4":.Unless of course it becomes "wanting a better than the Bachmann K4". Sigh.
@bbussey thanks for the informationthere will be a need soon to enter in DCCso the purchase of a Digitrax PR3 would make senseand since that item has been update to a new unitby Digitrax it seems that computer interface via USBwill be possible for programming and updatingagain, thanks!sincerely--Gary
