Wasn't it just 3-4 years ago there were rampant rumors of an N scale Olympian Hiawatha with a little Joe electric ?

I think so...    Remember the GEVO's were announced like the WEEK after NTS several years ago.

I remember being tarred and feathered here over my "prediction" for the show!!!    :D

There's not really any product to discuss per say, this is just a speculation thread with no evidence to support opinions offered.

But it would be cool to bet cash on the outcome...

My sources have informed me that the Olympian Hiawatha was off the drawing board, but that was "last season". MILW fans - don't get your hopes up. Dang it.

Well lets apply so logical deduction:
  • Kato just put out a modern American electric passenger loco
  • Kato does European and Japanese heavy electrics
  • the Japanese are known for loving eccentric American locomotives
  • Kato could kill its domestic market and its American market with a Little Joe

I'm sure I'll be wrong - but unless they are tooling an n scale genset or Kraus-Maffii it seems the most logical choice.

I will buy

  • the North Coast Limited or
  • an SDP40F with a clown face (bloody nose)

The SDP40F would be great as Kato has made the Amtrak El Capitan.
