I wonder why they're calling the GG1 their first electric locomotive in N scale.Jason
They probably meant their first electric N scale locomotive with DCC and sound.DFF
Nice to see new products being announced.
There hasn't been a large amount of new tooling announced this year in any scale and I expect the trend to continue for awhile. Even looking at what Bachmann has in this catalog vs. last year, it's not as much. Be interesting to see what else come up but we'll ahve to wait until this afternoon to find out.
I'm a little confused about the GG1; Kato did a reportedly good job on this not too long ago; I guess Bachmann feels there's room in the market for two; again, not at a lower cost by any means so they really must have confidence that N scalers are hot to trot for a GG1...
It would be their first "electric" locomotive in N scale. Like RS3 is to Diesel and K4 is to Steam, GG1 is to Electric. At least that's my take on it as I can't seem to recall a previous modeled electric loco by Bachmann....
The 72' coaches look close to the AFT cars, just can't see paying almost $80 per car for stand ins.
