For the curious, there is a short vid of the K4 hauling 8 MT heavy weights over on NScale.  Nice looking loco.
Modeling Southern and N&W in the southeast.

Just got my K4 from BLW! On track, and running now. I run DC, and very happy with loco performance so far. Smooth runner. Now as for the sound, the whistle sounds a very high pitch, almost like a childs toy. Off hand, I don't know what a real K4 whistle sounds like. The chuff rate seems faster than the loco, but that could just be me. The chuff does get annoying after a while, just like my Athearn Challenger. The headlight lens is fully recessed, as opposed to earlier shots. No tender light.
Will shoot some video later, and maybe some stills. Have to do things with GF now.

8 heavyweights is good.   Even though I am not buying PRR anymore, I would like to see this be a good engine.
I hope it can pull like that up a small hill.

And also... I'm no DCC or sound guy, but you guys are right... that whistle is positively awful.  I would turn it off and never use it.

Thankfully there are other whistles available.

I thought it sounded pretty good in my L1s:
Granted, this is the full fledged Tsunami.

Here's a Clerihew about Ed. K.

Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
But mention his law
and you've pulled your last straw!

Alternate version:
Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
He asks excitedly "Did you say Ménage à Trois?"
No, I said "Ed's Law."

Will try to shoot video after dinner. Don't want GF to know I got another new loco. Trying to bring down balance on credit card ;)

Wish I knew someone nearby with DCC, and possibly change whistle.

Uploading videos to Pbucket now. Going kind of slow.
Thanks Mark in Oregon. GF is actually supportive of hobby, but sometimes she doesn't need to know everything. But I hate when she says they're cute

Just what kind of video are you uploading there, Joe? :D

Takes a brave man to admit that his girlfriend says THEY'RE cute.

Here's some video's I shot awhile ago. Sorry for some out of focus "footage". Manual focus on my Sony Handicam is a joke, as is Auto Focus at times.

If anyone needs particular stills/closeups, let me know. I like the much brighter headlight, a first for Bmann? And tender to cab distance is fairly close too. Overall, I'm happy, except for "clown horn" whistle.
