Lookin' good!  Since these very nicely weathered cars are waaaaay out of era, my eye naturally goes to the very nicely painted, weathered and ballasted track.  I especially like that little pile of sand on the inside of the near track!

My critter form the TRW Challenge:

And a couple of others:

And there's this little guy (also a TRW challenge entry)

The Railbox car has been sold off, but the critter and shorty flat still ply my rails . . . .

I built this car from scratch a while back. OMI made a brass version of this car, the shielded and unshield without the full length top walk. BLI is doing the unshielded without the top walk. I didn't weather it very much, because these cars were kept fairly clean. [ Guests cannot view attachments ]

Here's a little project I don't think I've ever posted photos of....a bit of cutting off cast-on details, and adding new brass ones, plus new paint and weathering appropriate to my 1947-1956 era when these were working the Ogden Yard...

After looking at and admiring Ed's .006" railings, maybe I'll attempt that with this one and the other one still on my workbench...

Scalecoat II paint (the best match for my era of UP diesels), separate grabs all around, an air line to the bell, BLMA etched wipers, Precision Scale brake lines and MTL Z scale couplers, Sunrise beacon, scratched canvas awnings (brass), armrests and the sagging canvas radiator cover.  I was quite surprised at the sharp detailing of these old Life-Like engines and how well they run...

@Philip H - Do you mean the history of the prototype or the model construction?

It's so depressing that the last project I finished was over three years ago.  :(

This was before Atlas did the car. It's got a new roof and running board but is still 9" shorter than it should be.   :P

From many moons ago, a MTL gondola with new ends, custom decals.

And from a lifetime ago, a LL NE caboose with porthole windows and custom decals.

Now if there's a thread on unfinished projects, I'll break out the camera.  :)
