Temporary slowdown at Gold Medal Models

On Tuesday, August 11, I'll be starting daily radiation treatments to try and clean up some residual cancer on the right side of my face after undergoing surgery in July. The treatments will be for five days a week and will last four to six weeks. The predicted side effects will include a loss of energy due to the medications involved as well as the radiation itself.
During this period, I'll be living on the mainland in a small apartment-like complex next to the hospital and will only be able to come home back to Lopez Island on Saturdays and Sundays. I'll use those two days to catch up on orders and to try and answer e-mails and other questions.
My wife Sherry will not be able to run the business in my absence due to time and related constraints, so it'll be up to me to handle that. But she will be delivering the outgoing orders to the post office on Mondays and will of course pick up the mail for me to go through each Saturday.
I hope you can all work with me and allow for a few days delay during this period. I'll do my very best to make the delays and disruption as minimal as I can.

Take all the time you need Loren. Maybe have Dick B. lend a hand.

Take care, do what you need to do to conserve your strength for the treatment and recovery.

No orders from me for at least 3 months. There is no reason to push yourself too hard.

Good luck with the RT . I guess you are one of the few who could legitimately temp a nurse to come visit once you get home to show her your etchings .

Good luck to you Loren. My father went through a very similar regimen in the past few years, and it really helped him, though it was definitely not pleasant. It is a tribute to your dedication that you reach out to your customers in a time like this. Thank you for that, and best wishes for a successful outcome.

Loren,
Get well and get back to Lopez as soon as you can. I can't think of a place that would encourage a complete recovery MORE then that island.
