Love those MEC units.

Having lived "Down East" for a bit back in the '70's, I've got a soft spot for the Pine Tree Route; nice work on both the Geeps and the weathered cars...

Thanks for the comments.....I made my own matching paint using two colors of Testors enamels, Gloss Tangerine and Flat Yellow, it was pretty easy!..Be sure to share them!

I used Accu-Paint for the green, the Tru Color should be the same. But, I do not like the MEC yellow made by Tru Color, it's too orange for me!...and I have exhausted my supply of Accu-Paint MEC yellow, which was a great match...I found the Testors at my local Wally World...

I have never used Poly Scale, but it should work good, I find the green less important to get an exact match than the Harvest Gold...

On a side note, the bodies are cast in yellow plastic, not grey!....the later release(in this case, the 258) was exactly the same color as the paint on top!..the 260 was a little lighter than the paint...

Yes, I am.  Of course, they aren't as robust of course as the ALM injection-molded plastic versions.  But if used as intended, they are fine.

What does "used as intended" mean? And are they flexible enough after painting?

No modeling (again) for me, but my better half and I attended an NMRA meet Saturday where we visited Harold Werthwein's Erie layout and Tony Koester's Nickel Plate Road. As an Erie modeler, seeing Harold's layout was a real treat, and Tony's layout is very impressive. After visiting these layouts, we headed up to Corning so I could get photos of the NKP 765 steaming through the Southern Tier on Sunday (rather appropriate after seeing Tony's work!). Since chasing the special wasn't really an option, I waited at Brown's Crossing (near Cameron Mills) and will post the results in the Prototype thread later this week.

And to cap it off, the weather was so nice yesterday that we extended our trip to go swimming in Keuka Lake in Hammondsport for the rest of the afternoon.

Today was a very long day at the office.....

daniel_leavitt2000:  The way the local news reports read, the cars that said "Do not upright" had holes on the upper portions.  As they were, they weren't leaking, and could wait to be unloaded.  If someone had uprighted them, the holes would have been on the sides or bottom, and they would have started leaking.  So, they left them alone, and concentrated on those that were leaking.
