If it were me, I would reduce them by 1/2.
Michael,It would be fairly easy to shorten the hoods, and release a second signal head in Shapeways. We could call the original part a PRR head, and the modified part a Winicki head. I have to modify the signal head very slightly, anyway, to make the circuit board fit. While we are waiting for dcutting to give us an update, I am also going to try to design the circuit board that will fit the Shapeways parts. This should reduce the cost of the part, hopefully down into the affordable range. Never done this before, but that hasn't stopped me in the past. This is going to be more complicated than designing the signal head, as some of you probably already know. I will report back, when I have some results.
David Cutting, any progress on your end?
I got the boards in, but they didn't come out as I had hoped. Will try again soon.-David
... The board is 0.15in thick. ...
I hope you meant 0.015".
Just for clarification, are these boards being made to fit the original shapeways heads and/or the modified version? Thanks
