I am reading all these ideas and thoughts,Thanks to all. I am not the best at electricity ,so I might seam slow on these ideas. If someone could make me a stupid simple diagram of the insulation gaps and what location to have the reverser hooked into it would help.
Do I still I need the reverser? Wow ,my head is in a spin

I came up with the same solution after logging off last night.

Flagler -- very simply, cut the two outer rails of the crossover, in the center, so that there is no continuity between the two ends.  This fully electrically isolates the 4 individual switches of the crossover. Then, on the yard/station side of the crossover, have all your tracks, including the two leads from the crossover, feeders wired the same way (e.g. all "left" rails black and all "right" rails red).  The buss these feeders are connected to should be run off the auto-reverser.  The legs of the wye, coming down to the crossover, should be wired "normally" with your main.

Two questions:

1. Don't you also need to gap the inner rails of the straight routes in the crossover as well, or are those pre-gapped by Kato?

2.
Then, on the yard/station side of the crossover, have all your tracks, including the two leads from the crossover, feeders wired the same way (e.g. all "left" rails black and all "right" rails red).

I would have said all outer rails black and all inner rails red, like the diagram in may last post.  Are we saying the same thing?

Everything is gapped by Kato but the two outside straight rails.

You don't have to have an auto reverser but do need a way to switch polarity of the yards whenever you switch the crossover.

After seeing everything with the gaps, I'll agree that a single auto reverser will be best as long as the wye legs and main are wired as all the diagrams have shown.  If somehow only one of the wye legs changes polarity, you could have an issue bring in two trains at once if only using one reverser.

If no one else puts up a diagram for wiring, I can do one later today.

Flagler, maybe this annotated photo would help:



The new gaps are shown in yellow (only the outer rails need them).  The wye legs on the left are fixed polarity - and they should be the same polarity as the mainline they connect to.  You probably have it wired that way already.  Everything to the right of the yellow gaps should be under a single reverser and note the symmetry of the red and black rails.  Hope this helps.

Yeah, Jason's diagram is correct -- I stated it wrong above, as the way I said it would go back to the problem of entering the two sides (no crossing) at the same time.

Thank you Gary for work on this project. I will post a video of this when I get it working, It will be a few weeks.I have not wired anything on the layout yet I plan to wire the Bus this weekend

I have another Idea,I have been planning to use a DCS100 for the Southern halve of the layout and a DB150 for the Northern halve. If I Divide/Insulate the layout at the station entry wye. I do not need to cut the double cross over or use the reverser. Can I slso use the DB150 with the 5 amp suopply at the same time?

Having a separate booster doesn't change anything.  You still have to maintain proper polarity between the rails, and if you want to crossover between the two sides of the Wye, you need some form of polarity switching (whether DPDT switch, or auto-reverser).

I can keep the polarity aligned.Wher ever the northern District touches the Southern District is insulated.Its like having two train layouts bump into each other.I really would not have a wye then.It would b a loop divided into two halves

I'm glad Rick chimed in first because I'm not  DCC aficionado, but that's my understanding as well that having two boosters doesn't change a thing.  I imagine that it could make things more complicated.

The DB150 is advertised as having a built in Auto reverser
