Okay, so to recap diesel wise;

Maybe a SDP45- win for me , I'll take five.

It could be an SDP40F- awesome, I have tons of passenger cars waiting to be run, I will take three of them.

If it's a U33C /U36C, super sweet, maybe five or six of them.

Win-win-win! So long as it's not steam or electric, I might have to start cutting back on spending money on food!

Course if I'm wrong I will be okay, these things will get made eventually, right?

Okay, so to recap diesel wise;

Maybe a SDP45- not so much for me.

It could be an SDP40F- Amtrak, brand-new right in my time period
If it's a U33C /U36C, Illinois Central orange & white, I'm in...

Course if I'm wrong I will be okay, these things will get made eventually, right? Same thing I tell myself when I buy lottery tickets

Long Ago there was rumor they were working on Little Joes.... Maybe it'll come to fruition... I am not modeling the Milwaukee, but I would certainly take a couple in both paint schemes.....

I take my food seriously too. It could make my diet a little interesting.

Orange and white U33Cs would be sweet!

I personally would love to see a SDP40 SDP45 or a C636

But, Ron Beardon is working on his Little Joes, it would only make sense for Kato to release them after he painstakingly refurbishes the Kumata versions.  :facepalm:

I could use the SDP45, as the BN had them, but don't consider it a high priority item.  They were rare, and not something that my line would see every day.  By 1974 they were in freight service, so the GN versions wouldn't be any use to me.  I'd buy a BN, though, if they made it.

The U33/36C would be much more likely to appear on my railroad, and it would be an easy project for Kato.  However, I have a couple converted U30Cs, with NSN bodies, and the Hallmark brass units run very nicely with Kato, so I have enough.  Again, I'd probably buy a set, GN/NP/BN.

The SDP40F would be very nice, as my line would be a logical detour route for two Amtrak trains, and I have plenty of passenger cars.  I've always liked them in the early Amtrak scheme.

As for electrics, I still want a MILW boxcab.  The Joes are too big for my MILW interchange, as it's an electrified branch, and they were strictly mainline locomotives.  A pair of boxcabs would be perfect for local freight service.

I have no use for one, especially since it probably wouldn't have working pantographs, but an AEM-7 would be a logical choice.  Very common in the Northeast, and with another body, usable as a European model, increasing return on the mechanism costs.

Did I miss something?  The new locomotive is the Cities Sprinter, right?

Ah, but the BN had SDP40s too.

An SDP45 with a late 60's Southern Pacific passenger train makes sense. Add new molds for the unique SP baggage cars and the 3/4 length domes, and you'd have a best seller.

Ron's working over Bi-Polars, not Little Joe's.

Well, then Kato's going to release Bi-Polers.  :ashat:
