SDP45 doesn't make much sense to me, frankly. Not that I begrudge it, 'specially seeing I grew up with them as daily events on the SJ Daylight in the '60s. I'd get a couple, for sure, since aside from the personal nostalgia they fit with my era and host RR.

But so few were produced, only in three (maybe four) possible paint schemes for the "legit" SDP45, so the market is immediately limited. Would they tool the EL-CR-VMV-UP non-passenger (SD45M) version?

I guess we get to wait and see. :|

A late SD40-2 would be nice.

I hope not, Kato keeps repeating the same mistakes on their EMD hood units ...

My bet is on something weird that appeals to the Japanese market - a Krauss Maffei!

I'll go out on a limb and guess the PRR Q2. The K4 is too mainstream now.

I'd love to have three EL SDP45s! Maybe they would also do the bicentennial EL SDP45 and SD45, that thought has me drooling.

But, at least you know it isn't Precision Scale brass, 'cause the lettering is straight and it probably runs.

They only do 3 or 4 schemes on there locomotives so that would be the perfect model for them unlike the SD40.    :D

SDP45 would let them issue a big sky blue Empire Builder, several late era SP trains, and an early Amtrak Coast Starlight. They don't seem to to passenger locos anymore unless they can tie it to a set of passenger cars.

I guess the SD28-2. HO tooling, and of course, I kit bashed a few SD40-2 shells to paint into IHB recently.....

Doubt they would do the U boat B series, as that is Atlas thing.

Long ago, they did say they were going to make the SD40-2 road specific.  I wouldn't bet against a spite offering in a few road with correct details to beat IM to market, either.

I think it could be an SDP40 or 45. They do a lot of Amtrak stuff and maybe it fits their series.

Since I don't need a lot, I will hope others get their specific needs.

Please... a mainstream steam loco, not some huge or esoteric glamour puss of an engine.
I mean, the big FEF is a beautiful piece of work, but.. I'd be a lot more excited about a
really good Pacific or switcher.
