New tooled loco from Kato coming....

I'm hoping an EL-C (E-33) will be the new tooling.  Multiple road names and a good companion for the GG1.  For Kato's love of passenger trains an E6 or E7 would really make sense.

I hope a rerelease of flat radiator SD70Ms or SD40s is in the future.

And of course there's always the request for a correct NS Dash 9

I think is going to be either the GP38-2 or GP50 as the newly tool and some new paint schemes on maybe some straight rad SD70m, AC44, Mid-pro SD40-2, -9 or the isolated cab ACe .

Now if they announced an N scale AS-616, my a-fib would be shocked into complete submission, but that's not going to happen. I would say some more 40-2's, 44-9's, 50's and 45's. I really wonder if they will do the PA's again. For new tooling, good question, if they brought out a GP35 I would hope they would high-hood it. In reality the SDP45 or an SD38-2 might be more likely.

Also, if they would so an E7A&B, all they would have to do is the body shells, the mechs are the same as E8&9.

Mike:  I'd rather have the EP1, as that would also give the EF1.  Between them they served the entire electrified period.  The EP2 would probably sell better, though, because non-MILW modelers would probably buy it as a collectable.

I would think so too, but over on Trainboard, people who were at the NSE event recently seem to have been outright
told by Kato it is an SDP45.
