SDP45 = 9 schemes, SDP40 = 13
Steam currently running around, SOU 630, SOU 4501, NKP 730. Any could be done and have a consist sold with it.

Well, we have all danced around the real possibility. Some would say that KATO tends to favor the western roads. They just had a major hit with the FEF and, so far, the mechanism appears to be pretty solid. So, a new re-tooled engine ? They will do an SP GS locomotive of some type, possibly a GS-4. Well heck, I can dream can't I? A new GS-4 in Daylight would sell as well as the FEF has done, up to this point. Personally, I would prefer a non-skirted GS-1.Carl

What am I missing here? Kato did a GS-4...Since we're on the subject of 4-8-4's, how about either the Four Aces, (which could be modified, I'm sure, to resemble some roads such as Rock Island's "R" (?) class, the largest fleet of Northerns in the US), or how about the C&NW class H. Just spit-balling here...Mark in Oregon
