Can't you just paint over the windows? I think this would be a better project for etchings.
Yes, but . . . then the supposedly plated over windows will be inset by the thickness of the cab (which is usually more than 6 scale inches. They are supposed to be flush. It looks wonky that way. Like a toy, not a realistic scale model. A flush-fitting plug will dramatically improve the look of the plated-over windows. For an example of this type of solution see https://www.therailwire.net/forum/index.php?topic=34887.msg410738#msg410738
That sounds interesting. I would love to to it, if you send me a PM with dimensions of the windows and an approximate fillet radius, I will see what I can do. Millimeters only please.-David
Welp, I guess they do. I corrected the model, it is now available at the same link (http://shpws.me/J7LZ). It will take a bit for the blue background model to re-render, but the white background photo reflects the changes. -David
What's the progress being made on the C-415 body shell/s?
I'm with Frank, I would love Lehigh Valley pup SW8 dynamics, either as a splice in part or an entire hood. You could put me down to definitely get five!
If you can PM me a set of dimensions for the hood and cab that it would join onto, that would increase the chances of me doing it.
I can donate a cab and long hood to the project, pm me your address and I can send it out asap!
Thanks everyone!
Next up is a dash 2 anticlimber. http://shpws.me/IYv7-David
I tried to order some of your NP Gyra-lights but they said they could not be made.
