Oooh, how about an NP nose light for SD45s?
This is a set of eight Northern Pacific nose lights for the SD45. N Scale (1/160) To install, soak in Bestine for 15 minutes to remove waxy support material. Cut hole into nose of locomotive and adjust to fit part. Glue light into place with CA. Install 1 millimeter fiber optics to complete installation.
Your wish has been granted.
If I knew it was gonna be this easy I would have asked for something a little more substantial, like an SDP40.
... plus the cost of that size object in FXD will probably be couple hundred dollars. ...
Funny that you mentioned that particular shell - I was thinking the same thing. But I'm not sure if the 3D printing quality will be good enough (for me), plus the cost of that size object in FXD will probably be couple hundred dollars. Bryan Bussey's Scenicruiser bus costs $50 in FXD and is is much smaller than SDP40.
+1 for the thing of C&NW beauty that Sirenworks posted. Here's my personal "wants" list, all involving the Ann Arbor… I know some others who would be on board, too. DT&I/Ann Arbor GP35 noses with nose headlights to fit the Atlas/Kato/Atlas/China model. The AA units lasted many years under TSBY (when I took these photos) and were still running fairly recently for GLC:PA100001 by Pete Doolittle, on FlickrPA100005 by Pete Doolittle, on FlickrPA100004 by Pete Doolittle, on FlickrPA100006 by Pete Doolittle, on FlickrI'm guessing "plain" GP35 noses with nose headlights would probably find an audience as well. Atlas/Kato never did them* and I'm certain a number of the schemes that have been released over the years should have had them.
This is a pack of two EMD GP-series nose featuring a nose-mounted light and bell, as displayed on some locomotives (esp. ann arbor). This nose is designed for the atlas GP35, but with some modification will fit other locomotives too.

A sprue of four Southern Pacific nose lights to fit EMD hood units. This version has the gyralites for warning removed. N Scale (1/160) To install, soak in Bestine for 15 minutes to remove waxy support material. Cut hole into nose of locomotive and adjust to fit part. Glue light into place with CA. Shapeways pricing is determined by production aspects like cost of materials AND designer profit margin.
And also keep in mind that I am selling my 3GS21B and TEBU shells for $55.99... not too bad.
