CodyO Shelf Layout Display Idea

Hey Guys,
So any hopes for a layout here in Texas have been killed, sadly just don`t have the room. But I do have 6' of wall space above my desk!
So my idea to to make a shelf 16" wide by 6' Long to display my passenger equipment on and have a small city scene taking up 2' on one end of the shelf. And since I`ll probably never do a big city scene on any of my layouts I thought this would be a good idea.I`ve played with the idea of a switching layout or some kind of tight loop but I think this will work best for me now.
I had planned for a larger space but $1,000 worth of building`s scared me.
I`ll be using some of the taller buildings made by CMR and Lunde Studios I`ve labeled them on the following picture along with there height in Inches under there name.
I might try and use a different station than the Walters Union station but I think my only other choice is a the CMR kit.
Also the tracks run the full 6' under the city section which will be about 2" higher than the lower track level
So guys what do you think?

I think this is a great idea for a small layout- pretty much a diorama with a city scene and passenger cars. Great way to get modeling in when you're short on space!
