Hmmmm ... (G41a coil car)

ESM acquired the masters for the Rail Yard Models G41a coil car a couple of years ago, but they needed some repair and upgrades.  With the Shapeways FXD now viable, the RYM masters were digitized and enhanced.  The model has be modified to use BLMA 100-ton ASF Ride Control trucks and fitted with the ESM X58 coupler pocket.  Here is the first render before going into the heptane bath.

The etched parts need to be designed (to replace the super-thin resin parts), but this is a first good step.

Gotta get away from introducing all this Pennsy stuff.   :P

edited title.  I got tired of trying to remember what this thread was about. -gfh

Was this the only car you got from Rail Yard Models? Or are there others too?

I'd be interested in an X79 or two.

Well Bryan, thanks for choosing such an informative subject line for your new product.

So when will you stop catering to the SPFs and start producing some more New England railroads prototypes (other than New Haven)?  ;)

This is the only one I believe. Rail Yard Models was famous for saying "screw N scale" (paraphrasing) after a somewhat poor showing of this model compared to the HO version.
The Fruit Loop boxes were never released in N,

You seem to feel abysmal take it
Then you're careful grace for sure
Kinda like the way you're breathing
Kinda like the way you keep looking away

Here's a Clerihew about Ed. K.

Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
But mention his law
and you've pulled your last straw!

Alternate version:
Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
He asks excitedly "Did you say Ménage à Trois?"
No, I said "Ed's Law."
