After a few hours with the models I have formed some impressions.

1. What makes these models really shine is the paint. They probably aren't much better than Athearn trucks, but they were designed smartly and the paint really makes the difference.

2. I really want to see what they have in store for schemes. Both tractors and that 53' trailer. It's not that the trailer is earth shattering like the tractors, but the schemes could be endless. Also think of all those awful weird geometric patterns on the tractors in the 70's and 80's. I can't wait!

3. If they do the can and K100 in Werner, I'm on real trouble.

4. I wonder if they will do vocational trucks... Dump, garbage and cement bodies.

5. What the hell am I going to do with all those old Con-Cor Kenworth tractors?

Sell them quick before the general populous notices the new offerings.

You should keep them and dress them up with spare parts offered for those new trucks.   8) Or if you are really rich and can afford to replace all the Con-Cor trucks you bought over the years for cheap money with these new $30 or $40 (a piece) model trucks then go ahead and sell the old Con-Cor ones.  ;)

Daniel:  As I doubt that I'll be able to afford many of the new trucks, I'll be stuck with the Con-Cor models for years.  If you decide to sell there will almost certainly be a market.  Besides, how easy will these new ones be to kitbash?

I can't believe we have the Duel truck. I have the GHQ stuff for this (close stand in) and was actually going to ask @peteski for help with the decals.

I'm in for license plates, though. I have the DVD of he movie if screen caps are needed.

We might be reaching the Alps' print resolution limit. N scale plate is 0.0375" X 0.075".  But worth a try.  Also, you could get some white decal paper and print them on a high-res color laser printer.   Here is a site where you can make the plates: http://acme.com/licensemaker/  . Then just resize the image to N scale size and print.

Just spoke with Trainworx again. I had to order parts when I dropped one of the models

New announcement will be posted in Sacramento for a second run of trucks. No more runs will be based on TV/Movies. There goes my hopes for the Happy Toyz truck.

Yes. Not for the layout, but for the display case. I also have a Euro-Star, NEX (Narita Express), and SBB Inter-Regional passenger trains that will never see the layout, but I have ridden on the real ones and wanted one for the display case.
