New Trucks from Trainworx

Which website?  TWX site doesn't seem to mention these anywhere (that site is not really the greatest anyway).  Carter put up that flyer on the N Scale Vehicles website, then he himself posted that info here.

Most of these are too new and shiny for me, but I just love the '54 (and later) 281 tanker! Now that's a TRUCK!
For you truck guys, could one backdate it to fit on a '51 era layout? If not, I'll just wing it, it's too cool to pass up!

Regarding the stickers on the cab doors.
When I first visited Michigan in 1979 on business from Australia I noticed that almost all the tractor units had their doors covered in the things. I was told by guys in the industry that as the road transport industry was so heavily regulated each trucking company had to have a sticker for each state that they operated in. For instance if Consolidated Freightways wanted to take a tractor pulling two 20 foot trailers from one state to another two states away the state in the middle did not approve the second trailer on their road. CF had to drop the second, run across with one then return for the other or, have a second tractor unit pick up the second trailer to move it across the state.
Very expensive and grossly inefficient. Thank goodness it changed.

I took the 40' van to be one of those that Trainworx has already released.  Maybe I got that wrong.  It does look to be a smooth-side trailer, I guess that is new.  It isn't badly needed in N scale though. (we've got those from Athearn, too). 

The 53' trailer really ought to be a money maker if re-run separately in multiple paint schemes.  Gary's not the only one looking for those.

I beg to differ.  Athearn's Z van trailer-only releases were all RR-owned and most were post-80s-ish.  There were a couple of nice non-RR releases but with tractor only.  Trainworx fills in a serious gap with its paint scheme selections in terms of RR variations and we'll probably see some private trucking company schemes and the like.

And for those asking about how to get them, Pat says the best way to obtain the models is to ask your favorite dealer to order them for you.  They are limited run, so he does not know how long they will be available.

Pat also confirmed (as Bryan Bussey stated) that the tractors are all new tooling, as well as the tank trailer and the 53-foot reefer.  The 40-foot trailer/reefers are from existing tooling.

I'd love to have some of the tractors, but don't really need the trailers, and can't afford the combinations.  Hopefully the tractors will be available separately, in basic colors, for those of us on limited budgets, or needing a fleet of them.  The Peterbilts and the Kenworth W900 would make nice western log trucks, with some "undetailing".  I doubt that any log hauler ever fancied up their truck like that...

I know it must be somewhere in Cali.. (if only there was a shot with a train in it in the movie..)
