I don't know if this was a TRW member, but someone got lucky at Wig-Wag and snagged a spare A-C car. Someone else was less fortunate, which prompted WW to call to see if there were any additional cars in stock.
I don't know how large your initial run was but it looks to me like you had a winner on your hands.
I am one of those two! I did place an order when their website indicated "available" but I don't think that they do real-time inventory updates. My guess is that I am the less fortunate, but that I haven't been able to confirm or deny as their phone has been busy for hours. I do have a line on one from a very generous Railwire member if my Wig-Wag purchase doesn't go through.
Just got the "First Runner Up" email, so no dice. I am still in the running for Miss Congeniality! I appreciate all the help.Best wishes, Dave
Dave, have you heard from Chuck?
Marc,The wide-treads were used so that the cars run on any brand track. The car does look better with fine scale wheels and operates equally well. In fact, all of the load testing was done with fine scale wheels. The cars are light (0.4 oz), but the center of gravity is so low and well below the coupler centerline that they have no problem pushing or pulling 1½ lb of freight consist.
as of 7:00am they now only have 6, the race in on. Hopefully the others that i ordered from pete get shipped.................
