Back when the sound quality for N scale was pretty coarse I thought a headset connection would be an improvement.  Really cool to see this concept advancing to the practical stage.  Excellent work Mark, as usual.

I finished a handrail trial and some front end work on the NKP RS-3.  A photo of the handrail jig is in the L. E. section.

Handrails looking good. Unfortunately I couldn't find the photo of the jig, do you have a link ?

With all the summer-like weather this weekend I spend a good chunk of time outside working on my 2006 Scion xB.  I washed the engine compartment and replaced spark plugs and the engine air filter.

Hard to believe that this daily-driver is 9 years old!

Then I started working on Key Imports (Samhongsa) N scale PRR H-10 loco. I was asked to repair it, reinstall DCC decoder, and I'll give it a tuneup.  Let the fun begin!

. . . now where did I put that coupler box screw . . .

Sorry about that.  It's only natural that someone would connect a NKP project with the AC&Y thread.   :D  Yeah right.

;) Thanks. Good idea, to build it on the model itself, have to try that one myself.

Hey what did you use on the engine bay?

Just some Tough Stuff spray cleaner, dishwashing detergent, cold water, 2" paintbrush, rag and elbow grease.  I wash the engine bay every spring.  I like the almost-new look while my car is getting older every year.  :)

Great work! Who made those stanchions!?  They look like just the ticket to finish one of my RS-3 projects!

This weekend saw a trip to the local railroad museum, a trip to Jared, and fixing a damaged Micro-trains GTW 1972 series boxcar that my daughter dropped. She damaged a door and let the factory air out.

About the most impressive thing I have ever seen on rails at any scale was this Pennsy Q2 at the Tuscaraura Valley RR:

^^^ +1. This is some serious modeling. Beautiful stuff. My first exposure to hobbyist 1-1/2" live steam was in the '70s. At that point I was turned off by how crude most of the models were in relation to how much effort it took to get something operable. That Q2 is just... just... wow. So are the models Ron posted. Amazing. We've come so far in four decades.

Finally did a bit on N scale modelling. Got a new deck from RS Laserkits installed. I've posed the tractors in place. The tires still need painting and then to finish up the decals...
