Great things so far for N scale. Anyone have anything on Micro-Trains July releases? I got a call  from a friend about them releasing their baggage car lettered for CN in green/yellow livery. Anyone seen anything on this?

Thanks, Jon

"Wait for it Jon"....... :D
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

Oh yea, the eSpee heavyweight horse car, among other things. 8)

Correction:
I must have been sniffing some old Ambroid, it's the heavyweight RPO/Baggage that's ready, not the horse car...
I need to go get some sleep

BLI PRR M1a/b

with bent headlight

Centipedes due "in a couple of months"

She's a beaut. I have one on order. Those Centipedes are so big, they would take up my entire mainline! And there is no way that they couldn't pull more than every single car I own, but I might try saving up for a set anyway to run on the club Ntrak layout.

I was at the WGH show in Edison, NJ this winter and the M1 wasn't there. Apparently someone had stolen it at a previous show. Swiped it right off the table. If that isn't desperation, I don't know what is! (Anyone on here ready to confess??)

A general question about producing models, how long does the physical production take? Once they have the engineering sample and have made the right adjustments to it, is it a few months away? I assume that it takes a great deal longer to research and design a model before it goes to the production line, I was just wondering how long the production took on average.
Bringing the B&O and WM back, one coal drag at a time.

daniel,

That tanker looks like a late 50's to early 60's mo-gas trailer. I drove transport for Chevron in Albuquerque late 1960's to mid 70's and used to see many trailers like that used by distributors and jobbers for delivery to the typical "small mom and pop" type service stations of that era.

Just my guess really.

Scott:
Ken Silvestri is the BLI marketing guy. Unfortunately he does not know a generator from an a$$hat. Not a detail guy. He said to ask Matt Williamson, who I will call next week.

I suspect that your speculation about the M1a/M1b is correct.

Just found out this morning that the M1a will have the step pilot and short lettering and the M1b the cast pilot and long lettering.

Someone asked for a photo of the SW1 backside:
(Attachment Link)

If that's for me Otto, thank you, but I need the C&NW unit to see how they painted the cab.

and finally, scored some nicely priced ATSF PRB heavyweights and this little beauty. All in all, a good trip!
Regards, Otto K.

Perhaps also interesting to note that Intermountain plans to make the frames for the F units with sound available as a separate item. This means that you can add sound to your older F-units relatively easy.

Marc

I wonder if these will sit too high, and if they can be lowered like their non-dcc units(which is pretty easy)...Or if the sound package will prevent that...
