Trainworx is almost starting a new hobby: collecting 1:160 trucks!
daniel,That tanker looks like a late 50's to early 60's mo-gas trailer. I drove transport for Chevron in Albuquerque late 1960's to mid 70's and used to see many trailers like that used by distributors and jobbers for delivery to the typical "small mom and pop" type service stations of that era.Just my guess really.Carl
Seriously, If this is all the news that's coms out of this convention....I really hope that there were plenty of N scale layouts there, because, otherwise, the news out of Sacremento has been 'underwhelming' to say the least...Bruce
Indeed... I ask again - what about the "manufacturers breakfast" - this is when the announcements used to be made....
Good Morning, Had a great time in Sacramento CA. But it was a bit HOT !! One, if not the best attended public shows. Congratulations to the NSE for another great convention. Athearn was not in attendance. Kato wasn't there either. Arnold had the SW1, looking good. Keith
Carter, you may be correct but I thought he was referring to the tanker in one of the pictures posted from this years show. Why ask about last years announcement? Has that bulk trailer ever been produced? I sure could use some of them if they have been but I have not seen any poop put out about a release. Let me know if they have been, but of course they would all be snapped up by now.Carl
Sdodge: Seconded on the log trucks. Personally I'd prefer a Kenworth, but both were very common in the Northwest, and I'll take it!$50 +/- for a movie tractor/trailer was more than I could justify, but I NEED the log trucks.
