I think this may be close enough for me.Foobie, yes, but still nice. Especially since the HGM kits are scarce.
I think modifying the doors to porthole windows similar to what we discussed about the B70 gets you close enough for anything short of a PRRT&HS meeting...
Cut the doors out and add styrene from behind.
Sigh.... Trying to avoid that. Concerned about getting clean edges. My hand doesn't work as well as it used to.
Why not just shave the details off the door and remove the vertical window bars, and use 0.010" styrene cut to fit the opening with a brass ringed porthole? woud the styrene surface not be deep enough?
Looking at having first shots of the shell and other components of the CB$Q proto this week. As soon as they show I'll post them.CheersJoeMTL
Let's see YOU do one ahahahaha!!The porthole is not getting the brass ring treatment. It's already a foob and I don't want to invest time in that. I have not had much luck with drilling large holes in thin plastic. It's flimsy. Plus, it's easier for me to paint ala cart. I hope to finish this tonight! Gonna weather the crap outta this!
