Looking at having first shots of the shell and other components of the CB$Q proto this week.   As soon as they show I'll post them.

Cheers

Great! I am going to order one for sure.

Do you know if they were used only by the CB&Q (and their subsidiaries C&S and FW&D) or did they travel further away on other railroads?

Or were they just used on branchlines?

Looks like another winner.  Like the baggage car, this one will look good in any number of paint schemes, and will be "close" to prototype for many roads in addition to CB&Q.  I'll be in for a couple, I am sure, and perhaps more if it proves to be a good "core" for M&R or other sides.

I have a mind like a steel trap...a VERY rusty, old steel trap.

Can someone who knows the prototype please post a link to a photo.  I'm pretty sure I can get away with one or two of these. Thanks.

Will the CB&Q car have "Adams Express Agency" on its side? That would be a neat variation from the regular REA one.

It probably will be based on the builder's photo.

Not quite a dead ringer, but maybe a stand in for ATSF 2024/2039 class Pullman-built Baggage & Mail combines. With the addition of a fish belly sill and a signature sill channel, maybe a pretty good stand in?

Will it have the clear story roof?

Either Joe.
Just the look would be nice.
I'm sure that, if it wasn't see through and it fit other coaches, some of us would cut it out (if the roof was available as a part).
