I am thinking about making a container directory like I did with freight car trucks a few years ago. I need help filling in the holes:

ISO Shipping Containers 20/40 feet

20' Sheet Post MP
20' Sheet Post HobbyTrain
20' Exterior Post MTL
20' Exterior Post Bachmann
20' Corrugated Deluxe
20' Corrugated Arnold
20' Corrugated Fleischmann
20' Corrugated Rolland

40' Sheet Post Interail
40' Sheet Post Reefer Deluxe
40' Sheet Post Con-Cor
40' Exterior Post Around/Rapido
40' Exterior Post MTL
40' Corrugated Deluxe
40' Corrugated Hobbytrain
40' Corrugated Arnold
40' Corrugated Kato
40' Corrugated hi-cube Walthers w logo panel
40' Corrugated hi-cube Rolland
40' Corrugated hi-cube Deluxe
40' Corrugated hi-cube Rocky Rail
40' Corrugated hi-cube Kato

45' Exterior Post Con-Cor
45' Sheet Post Con-Cor
45' Corrugated MTL

What am I missing?

First thing that stands out would be a distinction between logo panel vs none on the courrigated containers...

It will be interesting to track down specific prototypes.

40' ConCor.

And just for the record, recently Walthers has re-cataloged some of their 40' containers. I'm wondering why we've never seem additional roadnames from them. They've released the same 7-8 schemes since I first started in model railroading. Back in the day being I lived 10 minutes from 60th and Silver Spring where Walthers is located I would always pick up a container or two when they were on sale, usually two to three bucks. Now it's five but at least they are almost always available.  Would love to see Hyundai, Hanjin, etc...

Well for starters, 45' containers are also an ISO standard.   In that category you've got the Deluxe corrugated version, which is great, and Con-Cor exterior post and sheet post versions, which are out of scale (wide and short).

Kato has done both a standard 40 footer and a high cube 40 footer (both non-logo panel).

Con-Cor has (again out of scale) 40 foot exterior post and sheet post containers.

Ok, I'll add them. The exterior post containers from Con-Cor are made by Herpa, right?

I thought Kato only made the high cubes in 40' what schemes were the standard height ones in? I need to get some samples.

Also, what did Wiking produce? I know a 40' standard height with logo panel, 20' reefer. Did they have a non-logo panel version? 20' dry box?

Seeing as there's quite a few duplicated styles, door corrugations (if any) is usually another spotting feature -ie, 1-3-1 pattern.

Any of the ones sold with the Maxi-I cars are standard height (and those are the only schemes they've done).

Off the top of my head:  APL(blue), NYK ("Logistics and Megacarrier"),  Hanjin, MOL(green), and Maersk.

The high-cube were done with the Volvo trucks and some were sold as 2-packs.  Different set of schemes:  K-Line, Evergreen, Cosco, and CAI.

(Of note:  Kato, Deluxe, and Rocky Rail have all done the Cosco scheme on a high-cube no-logo-panel 40 footer.  Talk about duplication!)

They also have a 40 ft undec listed as well.
