What about the "Branchline Coaches" like ConCor makes in HO? They seem to have been used by a large number of prototype roads.

Those models are the HO version of Lionel's Madison cars, deliberately shortened and badly compromised detail wise so that they would look and run better on 18" radii curves.  There is nothing like them on prototype roads, though a couple of roads (CNW, L&N, NKP and SOO) did have short coaches (though nothing like Concor's offering).  Earlier on examples of shorter wood vestibuled cars were rather common, though, and these did see use on a lot of roads.

Joe, some clarification. If you guys did a test of a single window coach, have you already tooled one style up? Second question then, are you looking for an additional single window coach to offer?

He'd like to lay out the next three car types.  One would be (is already tooled but shooting poorly) a single window coach/banana.  A coach/baggage combine is on his radar as possible number 2.  So the suggestions in this thread should really be for the open slot at number 3.

I'm not Joe, but I did read the opening post last night!  :D

By the way, my vote is an 8-1-2 sleeper.  I think it's the next most abundant Pullman.  After that, probably one of the open section tourist sleepers.

8-1-2 was on top of the list too.    So far I like the Single Window Coach, a Coach Baggage and an 8-1-2.

I wish the 8-1-2 had come out sooner.  While waiting, I kitbashed 2 of my own from the RR 12-1s that were "retired" by the 10-1-2s.  Now I am sentimentally attached.

Do note that at least one 8-1-2 made it into 2 tone gray on the ATSF- photo of it in the ATSF Sleeper book.  I would go for one of those. Trying to lay striping over the rivets is just too much for my patience level, so the ones I made are just Pullman green.

Another vote for the 8-1-2, then a Solarium

I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.

I'd  like to vote for a boonton coach. They seem to be on every tourist railroad and museum.

They're former commuter cars from the DL&W's "Boonton Line".

Check out how many are still around:

I do hope that MT will look at doing arched roofs for both coaches... some of B&O's received them (prototype for the paired window coach) and there are likely modelers that would appreciate them (though L&N modelers would need to stick to clerestory roofs since the L&N itself did not use air ducts nor arched roofs on theirs, preferring to fit the duct in the clerestory)!!!
