I had forgotten about it, but there is, actually:
https://www.therailwire.net/forum/index.php?topic=26704.0

Essentially, it's just 2" foam on top of some cheap Lowes shelf brackets. Super cheap, and relatively effective (except for where sections needed to join up).

Also, from my website: http://conrail1285.com/tag/ncr-shelf-layout/

Or because it is a Conrail themed layout you could just split it in half... Or about half...

Hmm, it would be funny to make my layout's problems his problem...

Lee's basement isn't a basement.

Heck, use it for insulation in your attic or crawl space.

Alternate version:
Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
He asks excitedly "Did you say Ménage à Trois?"
No, I said "Ed's Law."

Did the trees ever get planted, or just strewn around for the post-apocalyptic look?

Some got planted.

Some have just been hanging out unplanted.

The planted ones will probably stay on the reborn sections. The unplanted ones will find new homes.

And @John ? It makes sense, you've had your operating session on it. Time for a new layout!  ;)
