Central Hobbies is telling me that the three S2s I ordered have now slipped until October!!!  Perhaps this is sound equipped units only?

What is the official status from Atlas Paul?  And is the end in sight?

MBK have both sound and silent in stock.

There is no rhyme or reason as to what shipped and what didn't. We got our PRR and Southern loco's today, DC and DCC PRR, DC Southern. I believe even certain road numbers of one scheme shipped while others didn't. You can't limit it to DC vs. Sound or specific roads not arriving.

just saw pics at MB Klein...not liking that rather large separation between the cab windows...I know it's there in the S2, but that seems a little overlarge...hmmmmmmmm
We'll see..it didn't look that exaggerated in the unpainted pics...hopefully it's just an optical illusion...

As I stated earlier in the thread, this was a partial shipment that included a little bit of everything.  We just found out it looks like the balance will be to Atlas in late May or early June, but should definitely be available before August.

Well, this is the reason for this?

Sorry about the quality of the video.

It's a great little model. The detail is excellent and the sound is surprisingly good for such a small loco.

Might I ask: how do you think its  pulling power compares to the LL 1200 for instance?

BLW hasn't even shown them in stock yet. Have 1 E-L, and 1 under on order.

So. Who going to be the first to hack 1/3 of the radiator grill off and make an S1?

Looking at the pre-production photos, It looks like the radiator is a plastic add on to the metal shell.  It shouldn't be too hard to pop it off and either cut it down or cast/RP a replacement. (Which is probably what Atlas plans to do in the future?)
