Has anyone put Z905's on this caboose? Just putting this out there, before I try.
 Thanks,
 Joe D

It's the O&W caboose in photo.

Ok, I'll bite.  :D

I have never done this but assuming that the caboose in the photo is yours, it appears to have body-mounted MT coupler.  You should be able to take it off, put on a shim then screw on the Z coupler.

It may be more difficult than that.  Spookshow's website says it had body-mounted Rapidos, so those are likely T-shank MTs in the original boxes.  If so, those boxes will probably have to cut/filed/ground off.

If it's a plastic floor, that won't be hard.  If it's a metal floor, and many early Con-Cor cars had metal floors, it could take some doing.  The alloy they used was hard.

Yes MT T shanks in there now. Just looked at hack, and the coupler box is plastic, rest of floor is metal. Not much room to work, with steps right there. Maybe just grind it away from top with dremel. Was just wondering if someone had done this before, and had advice.
 Thanks,
 Joe D

If the coupler box is plastic, and the frame metal, most of it should pry off.  On their bay window caboose the box was part of the metal frame, and the coupler was held in by the plastic platform/railing casting.  A very difficult design to change.

Thanks. Pry off, really? oh that would be great. My interest in this hack is that some O&W ones went to LIRR. Not exactly precise, but good enough for me.
I'll dig into this later today. Have to shovel snow first :(
