ESM — GSC Well Car - production complete!

... but hopefully production will wrap by the end of this month.

Here's a little treat for those who like the one-off schemes.  With the quantity of the 2014 holiday cars drastically cut back due to the lateness of the project, an additional scheme was squeezed in.

Is that Allis Chalmers scheme prototypical?
Era? Typical cargo?

Me Gusta!!  :D

Well, we do release foob schemes, but we say when we do it and we don't stray far from the actual prototype — for example, the Canadian schemes on the XIH model.  The A-C car was one-of-a-kind and was built by GSC, but the design was specific to A-C.  Similar to the standard 1958 GSC design, but different nonetheless.

The car lasted pretty late too, scrapped in 2005!
I think ESM is going to be the first company in N to make a car where the ride height is too low!  ;)

Bryan, Will they be available through regular channels?

Yes, standard RTR distribution channels, i.e. your favorite hobby dealer.

Bryan,

Very excited about this new scheme! My mom worked at Allis Chalmers in the 1950s and it was one of the great industrial giants of the Milwaukee area. Sadly, most of these firms are all gone now, and what remains of the AC plant is a second-rate shopping center. Well, that is what model railroading is all about for me, a chance to turn back time. Thanks for doing this scheme! I need one.

Best wishes, Dave
If you lend someone $20, and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

It looks like the ESM car frame is upside down!  :D  Regardless, I am buying one - love the scheme!

Bryan posted a similar photo of the Conrail car on his FB page.  It looks excellent!  The lettering is outstanding.  The loads these cars typically carried ended up at offline consignees as often as online ones.  So even if you model a southern or western road, you can use one of these cars.  I hope they do well.  PC and CR in this release will join my roster.  Thank you.
