What if the world was perfect and you could get ANY model you wanted that was prototypical and RTR. Would you be happy to run trains immediately, or sad that you can't build/modify/scratch a model?

Ian:  I see your point, but to me, those are 1:1 models, and as such, subject to the same criticisms as our smaller ones.

Closer would be one of the heritage units various roads are doing.  They're lettered for a railroad that no longer exists, are prototypes the road they're lettered for never owned, but are owned and painted by the owner of the original road's name.  Are they a new prototype, and thus correct, or a model of a fallen flag road, and thus a foob?

Do we know if the Custom Model Trains offering will include the MT 4 or 6 axle commonwealth or 6 axle PS truck?  Preference would be for the MT 4 axle commonwealth 41-N variation.

It actually is a former Conrail unit, it's just that the decoration is a bit off.

It's like a Walthers paint job...

I know my buddy needs about a dozen of them for his NS OCS train with all the heavyweights in it. I could probably use a couple for the UP cars too.
