Hey, you can reserve them now at least:
http://www.blwnscale.com/hornby-sw1.htm

It looks like the price has dropped.

Hmm... in that case, I'll
get a dozen...

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.

Well, those are going to be nice to have a cluck of on my layout.  Noticed no SP units so I'll be tiger striping them myself.    Great addition to the fleet.

If they're as pretty as the photos, man, I'm gonna be in trouble.

I feel like both PC ones might make their way to my roster, and I can think of a bunch of other cool projects for them, like this guy:

Has anyone seen any hint that Arnold will be offering undecorated versions of the SW1?

Those photos at BLW site look pretty darn good.  I'm in for the B&M units, even if the mechanism might not be up to today's design standards.

I might spring for a spartan PC.  Fortunately NH didn't have these, otherwise I'd have to pony up for at least two.

Weirdly, the official Hornby website has no mention or sign of these things.

I think this is why!  "Hornby America will officially unveil the new Arnold N scale SW1 switcher at the N Scale Enthusiast Convention in Sacramento June 26th-28th."

Oops, I was thinking of their U25C loco, not the switcher.
