My latest creation has been sent off to it's new home.

I really should get back to N scale at some point...

Nice model!  What scale it is (I know that it is larger than N). Kind of reminds me of my N scale Der Adler from Minitrix.

Just make another one, but in 2mm  :D

That reminds me that I'm a week past the expiration date of the one-year warranty on my Dapol 0-6-0PT. At least it looks nice  :|
It would have been nice if DCC Supplies could have made an effort to actually answer my questions. Their last couple replies when I was still trying to work things out were so vague that my anxiety worked up so bad that I couldn't even respond to ask for clarification.

This thread is the best it's been in months.

Pud, your hopper weathering blows me away.

BCR747, your stream, C44 and especially that bridge are amazing. Did you laminate strip wood and then stain it or use some other method? I would love to see a build thread, or better yet a magazine article on that bridge.

And (name unknown because I can't go back to check while replying ) you VIA F40 is awesome. Do I see that you went so far as to modify the fuel tank? What other mods did you do? I have a couple of those on the bench as well.

No pics for me this week but I'm still plugging away on my BC Rail CRS20 for the dinner train. The decoder and full front/rear lighting package are installed and operational. I'm just working on final wiring connections and carefully buttoning everything up so I can slip the shell on.

Craig.

1:76. 4mm/ft, EM gauge.

I've built three so far. Need to find a replacement for the steering wheels, ghastly over scale, but that can wait.

There's a bit more information on it here: http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/92622-gareths-workbench-em-pre-grouping-wagons-locomotives/

Ok so I took a quick cell phone pic. It looks messy now but it's getting more organized as I fnd places for all of the wires. The excess Kapton tape on the front is isolating and bunch of solder joints, and providing a little bulk so the shell has a nice tight fit.

Special thanks to Peteski for helping me with the wiring for the 12 LEDs.

Excellent work this week; this thread really makes me miss building a model railroad!

Test fitting track and bridge locations on the Colorado Midland.

Bear in mind that there will be 3 main levels of track.

I love this stage...it's like a blank canvas.

You're welcome Craig! The chassis looks busy (but understandable, since 12 LEDs are in there)!  :)

No modeling this weekend from me, I just spent some cash at a local train show. I think I did well. The SOU boxcar and DOW training tank car were the deals of the weekend.

Worked a little more on the paper mill area. Pictures are from left to right. Buildings and backgrounds aren't permanent,  just mocking up things for ideas.

... For the model,  I started with a resin NP reefer shell by Gegg Scott of GHQ and basically did the same modification the NP did on the prototype...

I strongly wish that Gregg would release resin kits of both the NP ice reefer and NP wood boxcar.  Been waiting at least 15 years since he first announced them. Although I am grateful that he released the CN eight-hatch ice reefer, which was my top acquisition target of the three models.
