That Kato SP "black widow" F-3 will be a knockout if it is like my older F-3 AB from a couple of years ago.  Comparing it to my Bachmann Spectrum F-7 AB SP "black widow" set makes the Kato units stand tall.  However, the Spectrum F-7 units do have the silver side air filter covers (prototype F-7s had them, but F-3s did not).  Also, the Spectrums have B unit numbers on side, but omitted from Kato F-3  B (probably for multiple Bs where owner can add silver side numbers).  Of course, the Katos have proper filled in body around front coupler, numbers in number boards, nice air horns, flywheels, bright dual headlights, and other nicer features.  I would like to see Kato offer F-7 SP "black widow" units with the silver side grilles.  Also, I would like to see Kato re-run the F-7 AB units again in blue and yellow Santa Fe freight "pinstripe" with single headlight (prototypical for ATSF freight units).   My Kato ATSF freight F-7A dates from the rapido coupler era.  Sure I did convert it to Micro-Trains couplers, but it was difficult.  Although it is near 15 years old, it still runs and pulls like a champ and looks even better!

Bachmann always does their announcements at the NMRA convention.. so another 4-5 months.

I will be picking up a Walthers GP38-2 in short order. FVM should be rerunning their GP60M with new SF numbers, that will probably make it to my collection as well.

  I see they have a Niagara coming out in HO . They do seem to do the same in N scale after a year or two . The Berk isn't here yet , so I would guess they will announce something this summer if they have plans .

NS didn't have any C44-9Ws :) But lets hope when do use that body that is the same they do the OLI units too.

Yep,  they are all C44-9W's  -  the last one was upgraded around November if I recall.

Supposedly they were ALWAYS 4400 hp - but fuel rack settings (which could be overrided by a Road Foreman of Engines) could be switched from 4000 to 4400 at any time)

+1 on the OLS scheme - primer too!
