Athearn N scale Big Boy announcement - Due June 2016... with and without sound.
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

That will be a 3rd run (and 2nd without the MRC decoder).  The last run must have sold really well (um, I bought one since I missed it the 1st time around - not a bad ting considering the MRC thingie) for them to announce the 3rd run.   They waited much longer between 1st and 2nd runs.

Cool, 4014 with the oil tender for the modern modeler.  ;)

I told myself I was not going to get a 4014.... I also told myself I wasn't going to get a 3985.... Then the 844 was announced... Crap, might as well get a 3985 to doublehead with the 844.

Oh look, Athearn is rerunning 4014 with oil tender and correct front pilot. I have a year and half to wait for it, ok, I can handle that. ARGH!

Though I wonder if the pilot can be purchased separately, so I can replace my HO version.

Attempting to model a modern Southern Pacific based in 2015/2016...

Also, I have a passenger train addiction...

Yeah , I was  in the same boat, and then I got 844 and the bug hit, now i I found 3985 in my lhs and I bought it and now 4014 get announced in her future guise. I found a excuse to add UP to my layout.

Needs more Conrail
There's a shyness found in reason
Apprehensive influence swallow away
You seem to feel abysmal take it
Then you're careful grace for sure
Kinda like the way you're breathing
Kinda like the way you keep looking away

Needs more Conrail

... You know, Someone should develop an App for that... :)..

Our IT Guy asked for comments on our new Customer Service Sharepoint site.. and I thought about sending "Needs more Conrail."

To make it more prototypical you may need to get the one with the coal tender, empty the bunker, remove the drive rods and motor and tow it around...
