Software Update Prompt?

Anyone else getting a software update prompt when visiting this site? I only get it when I come here, so I'm not sure what to make of it.

Not me. Exactly what software is it asking you to update?  Your computers? Browser? Java? The forum's software?

What kind and version of operating system are you using, and what browser?

I got it too...  Chrome on a Mac.

I had an unexpected Java update prompt yesterday evening (Mac/Firefox), also from browsing to a page here. I did eventually update, but in the Java preferences control panel after quitting Firefox and not from the "surprise" prompt - you never OK an update when prompted from within a browser.

Could be a Chrome thing.  I use a Mac at work and at home (with Safari), and I haven't seen the software upgrade prompt yet.

Every now and then I get one to update my Flash on my Mac. I just ignore it, probably from the ads,

Got it again, says your browser needs updated software, wants you to click update. This is the only place I get it.

I got it too. IE.11. Same message as tehachapifan. Used task manager to kill explorer just in case. Only place I have ever got that message was at this site 15 minutes ago. One time.

Got it twice again this morning...  Unfortunately it also paralyzes the browser such that you have to kill it using force quit (Mac) or the task manager.

Can you give me a little more information as to what the popup exactly says or a screen shot?

Could it be coming from another tab that you might have opened?
