Yes, that is correct for the freight cars. The exact opposite was done for locomotives. Units going to NS were patched with a PRR under the unit #, units going to CSX were not sublettered.
Yes, but NS does that with all their locomotives. I've seen high hoods in Camden with CG and SOU underneath as well,Phil

Power Stroke, I have three of the Atlas C420's in Lehigh and Hudson River paint, they all look and run great. I was just a little disappointed with the paint scheme used on the L&H #22, in my opinion the gray is to dark. The L&HR #26 and #29 to my eye are spot on and I've already added the #23 and #28 to my wish list
I have seen one NS ex-CR car patched PRR. I assume someone got a little carried away on that one.Question on NS ex-CR cars, specifically coal cars: What does the white dot above the reporting marks mean? Some have it, some don't.
I'll bet that BNSF crew was puzzled. The loco can't be used without the blue card, and it has to match the locomotive, so that train wasn't going anywhere until they got an answer.
