Sidebar note to the folks at Atlas and any other manufacturers who might be reading- I REALLY appreciate the descriptive paragraph that includes dates of manufacture for the prototypes.  For those of us modeling a particular year or era, this can be a big help when choosing among several boxcars or hoppers.  It would be even better if there was a similar notation on the paint schemes - especially for freight cars.  For the main roads I model, I have the information at hand, but I like to have a good representation of "offline" roads as well, and there I lack both expertise and library.

Defiantly want a NS MP15DC or two.  And, there are lots of high hoods this round too!

In case anyone was wondering THAT is what a Conrail Quality logo looks like.

And Walthers releasing another CR GP38-2 in quality paint as well.  Lots of quality to go around.  I do like the correct fuel tank that the Life Like ones came wiht.  I am guessing Walthers will do the same.  Anyway, lots of cool wallet emptying items there.  Oh my.

40' containers...MSRP $30/pair. Maybe I'm not remembering but does Atlas make an intermodal car that would fit these? Just wondering if there is something new on the horizon on the intermodal scene.

Technically they would fit the Atlas 89'-4" flatcar, but the schemes chosen are so modern that you'd usually see them on double stacks.
If Atlas released a new double stack car that would really be something.

I am with you Ed, not much in the WMRY paint.

Saw the GP40 in the two-color Penn Central worm logo (3172), and my first thought was that Atlas did it wrong; it should be a red P worm strangling a white C worm.  Well, wouldn't ya know it, Ed's Law strikes again.  Turns out the prototype for the 3172 has a red C and a white P.  Bravo, Atlas, Bravo...

Not that anyone cares but me but the one thing I will buy is Guilford's D&H C420 #420. I have had a bastardized Mehano/LL unit for years, and while it runs very well, it looks like crap. For a one item locomotive I give Atlas cudos for doing the scheme!
An odd side note. I noticed all the NYC items listed as CSX liscensed. I thought NYC/PRR/PC intellectual properties were gained by NS. Any insight?

Any equipment that CSX got as a result of the Conrail split was sublettered for NYC.  NS equipment from Conrail split is sublettered for PRR

NS never sublettered or changed the reporting marks on their CR equipment, it remained in CR (as can still be seen today). I'm assuming since that was the case, CSX had to do NYC for all Conrail cars,

Power Stroke, I have three of the Atlas C420's in Lehigh and Hudson River paint, they all look and run great. I was just a little disappointed with the paint scheme used on the L&H #22, in my opinion the gray is to dark. The L&HR #26 and #29 to my eye are spot on and I've already added the #23 and #28 to my wish list  :D

Yes, that is correct for the freight cars.  The exact opposite was done for locomotives.  Units going to NS were patched with a PRR under the unit #, units going to CSX were not sublettered.
