Looks great @chicken45 !I absolutely have to note that the sand dome is NOT a Keystone Details Shapeway's part! It is a pewter casting that I made for Josh from a silicone mold made from a GHQ L1s shell. Pr!ck just couldn't wait for the revised dome.
Ok guys, I need honest, critical opinions here.
I agree with Ian on the fit of the dome. I would also tone down that airbrush effect around the wheels etc. maybe add back in a little oily black to balance out the overall tone. Nice loco overall. Craig
Yep. Its almost as if the sandy color is gradually pronounced as you go from the lead truck to the to the trailing truck, which makes sense if you think about it. Each wheel adding to the amount of stuff sprayed up, as in the first proto photo. Love the difference in the lead truck wheels- nice catch.
