Interesting indeed.... couple of initial observations... MTL couplers; didn't they have their own or another type on the last release...? The selection on first release road names and liveries is to say the least eclectic.....

Nice to see another player coming up with a new release so soon after their dipped their toe in the pool!
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

Um.... if you look at the menu on the left you see the U25C and a U28C... um... would that be a third release.....?

It depends on whether they're recycling the U25C model to represent the early U28C carbodies.  If, on the other hand, they are making a new model U28C for the later U28C carbodies, then, yes, it could be the third model.

Doesn't say but I'd assume that's what they are doing....

As an aside; I find it amusing that even though they owned the second largest number of U28C's, the third largest number of U25C's and were tied with the NYC for the most SW1's, the SPF's are not being shown much love by Arnold/Hornby..... now the PC crowd..... :D

Blue? I am of course pleased that the Boston & Maine made the first run, but why blue? I would have thought black & red or maroon & gold would have been better first releases, especially seeing how long they lasted. Maybe this is showing the increased popularity of the 1970s as a modelling era as opposed to the 1950s.

these would be early U28C's so they will have the same car body already released... In fact the
PC numbers announced are U25C's.

As for the SW1 I'm very excited... a  CNW unit for me and one to paint up as Soo line 320 :)

Cool, I need one.  Hopefully they're nice.

Does anyone know if Arnold has undecs and/or shells available?  (asking mostly with regards to their "history" with the U25C...not expecting those details for the SW-1 yet)  Doesn't look like they offered an undec for the U25C but maybe it's just not on that particular site.

I wonder if they can get the hood width closer to prototype.  Great to see them jumping in again.  It makes me wonder if they have even more in store for n scale!

I'm all in for multiples of the U28C if they do the Phase II body with Adirondack trucks. [Picky, picky, picky.]

Looks like two different hoods. The B&M unit has the early stepped hood. The others show the later slanted hood. Interesting.
