Hello,
Finally the street cars arrived!
/>
This tram is a replica of the Basel tramway. The railcar dates from 1897. In 1912 the cars became closed balconies. In 1939 the motor coaches went out of service. The corresponding trailers were never modified.
Similar trams were common in Europe and are sometimes preserved as a museum vehicle.
As their example these trams are designed for narrow gauge tracks (6.5 mm Nm).
The kits are unpainted and are supplied without chassis. The couplings are functional. The bow collector can be replaced.
The Busch Feldbahnwagen driveline Nr. 12199 fits without modification. For the trailer you can use 6.5 mm axles (eg Busch Nr. 12295). Busch H0f tracks are recommended. The following kits are available:
N1101 - Motor coach Ce2/2 (Nm 1:160)
N1102 - Trailer C2 (Nm 1:160)
N1601 - Set motor coach with trailer (Nm 1:160)
All Kits are exclusively available via Shapeways - the Shop of RAILNSCALE can be viewed here
http://www.shapeways.com/shops/rail-n-scale
.
Best regards,
Maurice

Hello,
Zündapp Janus
.
After the Second World War, microcars were a cheap alternative to ordinary cars. In 1957 and 1958 Zündapp built the Janus. Unusual is the seating position and the arrangement of the same doors on nose and tail. The rear passengers sat with their backs to the driving direction.
The following kits are available:
N2102 – Zündapp Janus (N 1:160)
N2602 – SET 2x Zündapp Janus (N 1:160)
The models are unpainted kits and can be ordered via Shapeways:

Maurice

Hello,
We have added the Volvo 264 TE (Top Executive).
The Volvo 264 TE is the extended version of the Volvo 264. Between 1977 and 1981 around 335 of these extended Volvos were built, of which a significant part was used in the GDR as a state limousine.
Info:

Frosted eXtreme Detail (FXD)
RAILNSCALE is now offering kits in FXD too. FXD is similar to Frosted Ultra Detail (FUD). Both materials are UV cured acrylic polymers. While both offer high resolution, FXD uses a 16 micron layer height to produce incredibly fine features, making it a great choice for our miniatures with very fine embossed or engraved details.
Many of our modern vehicle (era IV) can now be ordered as option in FXD. In the Shapeways shop you can select the desired material option. Due to the increased level of detail the printing time is longer which results in 20 – 25% higher prices compared to the standard FUD material.
All models are unpainted kits that can be ordered via Shapeways only:

The Renault TN6 is a Parisian bus manufactured by Renault from 1932. TN6A is the aft deck open version with central access closed by a chain where the recipient was posting and passengers who wanted to take the air and smoke. The TN6A was in service until 1969.

I really appreciate you breaking down the bus into separate components which makes painting is a breeze!
It is amazing just how many 3D designs I have seen where the model itself is excellent quality but it is all in one piece. The body, interior, underframe, wheels are printed as a single piece. With model like that it is impossible to paint them correctly and to add window glazing. Those seem to be designed by very talented people who have no clue as to how the models need finished (painted/glazed)

A Renault 4CV .... my first car !
It was green, had a sunroof and an electric transmission which had a 4 speed shift lever and no clutch pedal - you simply put pressure on the lever and it disengaged the clutch. I thought that surely that would be a source of trouble. Turns out it was the only thing that never broke.
Water cooled engine with a total of 11 radiator hoses. A real practical design and engineering masterpiece - not!
May just have to get one if only for the memories .....

Hello,
Next to our collection DKW F7 models we have added the successors of these popular cars: the DKW F8 and IFA F8:
The front wheel driven DKW F8 was built between 1939 and 1942. The IFA F8 was the East German successor of the DKW F8 and nearly identical. The IFA F8 Kombi was developed in the GDR.
Models are delivered unpainted.
The following kits are available:
N2055 - DKW/IFA F8
N2108 - IFA F8 Kombi
N2608 - SET 2x IFA F8
(all models above are also available in TT 1/120th Scale)
Railway stations used to be overcrowded with all sorts of equipment, like the small cargo containers (so-called Kleinbehälter)
These containers are used to transport all sorts of small cargo; they are equipped with special devices to facilitate the locomotion. From 1931 there is the so-called small containers with a capacity 1-3 m³. Approximately 12,000 small containers were in use. These containers were also used for international transports to England, Scandinavia, BeNeLux, Austria and Hungary. The models are richly detailed and are supplied unpainted.
The following kits are available:
N3044 - 3 Kleinbehälter (3x Gattung Bd)
N3544 - 6 Kleinbehälter (2x Gattung Ad, 3x Bd und 1x Cd)
All kits are unpainted and can only be ordered via Shapeways:

Hello,
Gradually more and more railway accessories become available. The following kits are our latest innovations.
N3028 Platform building without roof clock (Era I-III)
On the platform you will find several smaller buildings, including the shown example. The model comes in two versions: with clock (N3015) or without clock (N3028). This building can be used from era I. The building consists of two unpainted parts. This makes it possible to paint the model in detail or modify. Model is delivered unpainted.
Benches are vital for displaying a realistic station. These striking benches can be used on island platforms. The benches are replicas of benches that where in use in the Hamburg and Cologne Central Stations respectively. The following kits are available.
N3037 – 2 Station benches “Hamburg”
N3038 – 2 Station benches “Cologne”
N3538 – 4 Station benches “Cologne”
Fitting advertisements are available as free download on our website.
All kits are unpainted and can only be ordered via Shapeways:
Kind regards,
Maurice
