I have both units preordered.  It appears MTL did an outstanding job with these units.  I am not a big fan of shifters, but I had to have them.  Thanks.

They still like to mess with the can opener on their artwork though, so you may have to hit your decal stash to correct it.

If your going to redecal.. the "Conrail" needs to move slightly forward to account for an extra vent on the RDG units.

Most units seem to have the can opener stripes come up to the edges of the hand brake and sometimes go across the handbrake.

While I plan to buy both units to 'support the cause'

I will likely do some modifications to them to make them closer to the prototype.

Photos of 9590 show the stripes going across the handbrake, with no break.

Don't forget to paint the jacking pads blue and the corner railings white.  :D

Logo is also in the wrong place. Curve of the can opener should end a full door-width away from the sand filler hatch on the 9590. Guess I should have sprung for an extra undec shell. Want it done right, gotta do it yourself...

I'm not too upset about the can opener stripe. That'd be tough to do:

It looks like it was just a number change job from 9594 though:

Which, I'm glad they did, compared to going with 9594's earlier paint oddball scheme:

I'm sure it's a fine model,but I gotta say I wish the pick-up "arms" weren't so visible...
