Not in reach bit I have a book that shows the BC smelters on the GN and most of them were wood structures, FWIW.  That would be 1880s and 90s, when GN was still headed for the Pacific.  But yours looks great, and it definitely seems plausible Colorado would have more brick available than the backwaters of Canada.

This was sort of my inspiration:

Aspen and Leadville had multiple smelters...some were wood, some were brick, and some not much more than a redwood frame sheathed with corrugated metal.

This is what Leadville once looked like:

Very cool!

Wow. Leadville had everything. Lead in the ground, air and water. And Saloons to wash it down and make it all feel better. Wow. The pics are very cool, but those poor bastards had a tough life. Thanks for sharing this.

Added signage, painted and weathered the roof, and added additional smokestacks and jacks.

I'm pleased with it, especially given its foreign origins.  I don't think I'm going to add much in the way of outbuildings after all; it's pretty big as it is!

I have the stone outbuilding that comes with the Easton Mill kit castings that @Chris333 sent me.  I might add that to the side as a boilerhouse.

I'd give it a new roof and paint the trim to match the brick structure.

God dammit, every time I see that Ertl kit, I get so mad that it's no longer available.

No kidding.  It's so iconically Pennsylvania.

I wonder if it could be 3-D printed... @Lemosteam?

I'd donate my kit and the duplicate castings if we could ensure the longevity of this structure.

Still available in HO, though…

That Tomytec building. Does it come with end wall fillers and windows for the side? The one I saw looked like a 3 stall engine house.

Edit: Looks like there are 2 different kits #122 and #136.

Answered your own question!  I do wish the windows were there on the sides...I didn't know about the enginehouse until after I discovered that a railcar fits through the arched openings (@Ed Kapuscinski clued me in).  So in my history, the windows were bricked over when they went to electric lighting.

Could it be done on a lower-resolution printer?  TBH, the orignal castings were not that great.

First, are you talking about both buildings in that kit or just the little stone outbuilding? I am not familiar with either.

Second, I don't have a 3D printer of my own, so if someone else does, I can send the design to them when complete.

If you are only referring to the stone outbuilding, it may be less if printed in the SWF material on Shapeways., but that is a true nylon based material and may be difficult to paint.
