After the roadbed is laid.  I intend to power all the frogs so I'm kinda not look forward to that step.

That shouldn't be too hard ... you can trench those cables, and do the power takeoff from the track

That shouldn't be too hard ... you can trench those cables, and do the power takeoff from the track

It's not hard.  Just tedious.

that I will agree with .. you using slide switches?  If so, I find on foam its best to mount them in a styrene "bracket"

I'm guessing based on the lack of "feedback," that the steel bridge color is not as offensive as I thought it would be!  It will get a wash of black to help tone it down a hair and to pop out the details.

Unless I can come up with historical evidence for another color, I think I have "enough" to justify leaving it oxide red.  Besides, black would evoke the Georgetown Loop too much in these parts, and that's not what I'm trying to do.  This ends up looking like a hybrid between the Hop Gulch bridge at Buena Vista and the Ruxton Avenue bridge at Manitou Springs.

I'm sorry if you were looking for our feedback but got none.  As you know, though, I am red-green colorblind.  So, I think your bridge is a lovely shade of gray.   :D

Wasn't really "looking" for it, but expected (this being the Railwire) for someone to object.  But then again, this is an esoteric prototype even for TRW, and there are only a handful of folks here with a knowledge of the CMRy.

Worst case scenario, if I get a hold of some real evidence of a different color after the bridge is installed, then I can hand-paint it slowly and tediously.  The upper surface of the deck beneath the ties would still be oxide, but you have to figure it'd rust anyway.

actually, the color of the bridge did not occur to me
there is so much about what you have already accomplished
that is interesting to the eye that the bridge did not stand out
and then I also find it difficult to judge colors against the pink
background
finally, knowing your work and results, I suppose I also just
assumed the bridge color and fine touches would be part of
the scenery process
ok...going back and studying the one photo, it looks a tad
"bright" red, but your already noted fix will probably make it
look just right!
