Just how much computing power does it take to either randomly or sequentially present one of few dozen small bitmaps to probably less than 100 users at a time? If it really is that much of a resource hog then it sounds like a piss-poorly written code!
a forum uses a lot of mysql connections to run, and cPanel and Plesk default to 151 connections, 1 is used by the control panel. Adding in an additional query might have been a little too much if there are other sites on this server
Ah, that makes perfect sense (if one knows what cPanel and Plesk are). At least I know what MySQL is. It is funny how programmers manage to over-complicate things for what used to be a simple forum with rotating images banner. Technology is wonderful!
Now if you know what you're doing, and have enough power on the server, you can increase the connections. Take a wild guess what I do for a living.
Um, wild guess . . . Website designer?
