Christmas came early; let the fun begin..............

Guess what I received today. They look good JS. Missing the classification lights but I have some Athearn Challenger ones that I can put on. Looking forward to this one, will take my time and do it right, this time.

Detail looks good Jason, I think it better than my first one. I plan on another ESU Loksound/speaker in tender. I think I'll put firebox glow in also, what yah think?  I need to scratch and add the Hancock Turbo Feedwater Heater under the fireman's side of the cab. Also, I am toying with the idea of removing the air tanks from the B'mann mechanism and adding to the bottom of the boiler casting. That way I can run air lines from the front to the tanks without having to re-install every time I remove the shell.

Real cool, dude, still mulling over the GS-1.

PS: check is in the mail....

Glad you like it Carl!  As for the class lights not to worry I will send you more along with the casting of the pilot truck when I have it done.  The firebox flicker would be real cool!  Keep the pictures of your progress posted.

Carl, I'm more interested in that cool flat car load in the background!  Tell us more about that!  Where did you get the car?  Where did you get the load? Nice!

Norway2112, you asked so here it goes....................

Car as I originally built it with DSX sound decoder and obviously a large diameter speaker, it ran well but I put the decoder in an auto rack. The car came from Alan Curtis, nice kit.

I was in TorC New Mexico last spring and found the sub in a little curio shop. It is/was a pencil sharpener. I couldn't resist as I thought it would make a close to scale sub of some type. Just different, you know. BTW, the car tracks and runs very well, even with all six of the pivot points

I must have a thing for subs. Here is another Alan Curtis car with DIY explorer sub. I can hear The Beatles now.......

Thanks for asking and looking.

Carl
